At last, the critically-accliamed webstrip is collected! This first volume continues the adventures of Jason, Noel, Arthur, and the entire Kindgom Comix crew through all sorts of geek mayhem. This volume collects every strip originally posted in 2008, and is sure to tickle your geek and nerd funny bones! Admit it. You’re one of them!

As I was reading Subculture I couldn’t help but think to myself how unstable Kevin Freeman’s brain really is and thats actually a good thing! Subculture is by far one of the best comics I have read in a while. Its completely packed with a steady wave of laughs and is clearly directed towards Comic geeks and Sci-fi junkies. Kevin Freeman brought his A game with this compelation as APE Entertainment put together all his Webcomics into a nearly 100 page book priced a $10. IMO, its completely worth the price.

Subculture pretty much revolves around Jason and Arthur who seemingly appear to be in their early twenties as you will see Arthur drinking beer mid way through the comic. Jason has hit rock bottom and is struggling to find a job with no luck. while Arthur definitely was my favorite of the two as we experienced him go on his first date which will provide plenty of laughs. Noel is Jason’s good female friend and at times tries to motivate Jason into finding a job. I don’t want to get to into the story but the exchanges between the characters works well.

Stan Yan’s art style goes hand and hand with Kevin Freeman’s writing. It just fits well with the writing style of the book. Overall, I loved the idea of putting the Subculture into a single book and APE Entertainment made a great choice putting it out. Definitely a top choice for a pick up this month.
